According to the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, there is predicted growth in the security field due to growth in other industry. The private industry offers a higher salary and there are currently more positions available than the public sector. South Carolina Financial Aid
There are many opportunities for financial aid in South Carolina. The HOPE Scholarship is up to $2,800 and given to students with a cumulative 3.0 grade point average. The LIFE Scholarship is up to $5,000. It is awarded to students who have graduated in the top 30% of their high school class and have above a 3.0 grade point average. The Palmetto Fellows Scholarship is up to $6,700. This prestigious award is for those who have a high score on the SAT or ACT and an excellent grade point average.
